Hennessey domesticates the four-door SuperCrew cab Ford F-150 SVT Raptor, transforming it into the VelociRaptor SUV. The Raptor is known for being one of the most rugged, off-road-capable pickup trucks on the market right now. Pickups are great for job site workers & do-it-yourself-ers, but they’re not a practical option for many drivers. Hennessey feels different, turning it into an SUV by replacing the bed with a rear cabin, making the rugged truck a bit more family-friendly with changing the seating from four to up to eight. They’ve built previous VelociRaptor pickup models, but this is the first time they have converted it into an SUV.
The VelociRaptor offers plenty of muscle and Hennessey kept its 411-bhp 6.2L V8 engine for the base model but adds an optional 600-bhp supercharged V8 version. The base model sprints 0 to 60mph in 7.5 seconds but the supercharged cuts that down to 5.9 seconds. The upgrade also features Brembo front brakes, an LED light kit, larger wheels + tires, and armoring systems. Given the Raptor’s base of $44,000 for its pickkup, that leaves very little room for plush. Scout Life. $149,500+
